School of Education, Culture and Communication

At the School of Education, Culture and Communication (Akademin för utbildning, kultur och kommunikation – UKK) we educate future teachers, mathematicians, musicians and communication officers.

Thanks to our research in educational sciences, we improve the quality of schools and education through new insights into the different needs of children, adolescents and adults in relation to teaching and learning. Our research initiatives in mathematics and applied mathematics form a dynamic research profile both nationally and internationally that contributes to technical development and also to an increased understanding of societies and cultures. We are currently developing our artistic research focusing on Western classical music and opera.
