Small and Medium-sized Enterprises play an important role in many of MDU's research projects. Therefore, in connection with the research part of the commissioned education, several empirical studies have been conducted in the form of surveys and interviews over previous years. These studies focus on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises based on various aspects, such as regional growth.

This goal will beachieved through activities such as lectures and the participants' own experiences and is suitable for all industries.
The programme is part of a strategic cooperation agreement with Eskilstuna municipality, with support from Sparbanken Rekarne.
Furthermore, MDU is currently collaborating with the business department at Nyköping municipality to run a pilot commissioned education programme for that region.
This commissioned education, Growth engine, focuses on small and medium-sized companies and aims to increase cooperation between business and academia to boost growth in the municipality.
