Civilingenjör 4.0 Module C11 "Cyber Security, Industrial Data Protection and Data Integrity"

Module C11 addresses the concepts of data privacy, integrity and security in the context of Industry 4.0, cyber-physical production systems and connected industry. It provides learners with basic cyber-security definitions and models as well as practical information to achieve information systems certification against international standards and regulations like ISO 27001 and GDPR.

Description of the project

The project addresses development of Module C11 "Cyber Security, Industrial Data Protection and Data Integrity" by host institution Mälardalen University in cooperation with Linnaeus University, RISE and several industry representatives from Combitech Sverige, Bombardier Transportation and Westermo. It has been accepted for funding within the Civilingenjör 4.0 project initiative. Module C11 addresses the concepts of data privacy, integrity and security in the context of Industry 4.0, cyber-physical production systems and connected industry. It provides learners with basic cyber-security definitions and models as well as practical information to achieve information systems certification against international standards and regulations like ISO 27001 and GDPR. The course will cover data classification and encryption standards (e.g. AES), public key cryptography and digital signatures/certificates, redundancy and backup mechanisms, user authentication and biometric identification, risk and vulnerability assessment, threat modeling, malware analysis, network monitoring, intrusion prevention and detection, and physical security.
