MDU hosts European consortium

On February 26-29, a European consortium is organized at MDU. The focus is on AI/data science and software engineering.

EDISS (Engineering of Data Intensive Software Systems) External link. is the first ever Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJD) project at MDU. The project is funded by the European Commission (EACEA) External link. and is a collaboration with MDU's strategic partners in L'Aquila, Turku and Palma de Mallorca and offers scholarships to 25 selected students following a two-year master's program.

Within the framework of the project, annual winter schools are organized at each partner. This year, MDU is hosting the entire consortium and its students, with around 60 people, including invited speakers and alumni, on February 26-29, 2024.

The event organized at MDU includes keynotes from AI/data science and Software Engineering experts, student project exhibitions and hackathons.

One of the activities during the week is an exhibition where the students present results from the project course they study during the first year. Interested MDU students are welcome to stop by and see what the students are working on (room My, 28/2 11:30-13:00).
