Martin is the University’s new Coordinator for students’ work environment

Martin, Coordinator, works to ensure that you as a student have a good physical and psychosocial study and work environment.

Do you need to report anything related to the work environment on campus? Or do you have a suggestion which can improve the environment? Then you should contact Martin Hersén, Coordinator for the students’ work environment.

Martin is the Coordinator the students' work environment, who works to ensure that you as a student have a good physical and psychosocial study and work environment.

“A good study and work environment should have a positive impact on you, by providing a meaningful space in terms of context, learning and development for example. A less positive work environment may be time pressure, performance-related pressure, bullying, noise or risk of injury, for instance,” says Martin.

Get involved and influence your work environment

Your study environment is also your work environment and you can get involved in this in many ways. You may send suggestions for improvement and report if any injuries or accidents arise that affect your studies at MDU. Please use MDU’s reporting system Aj, Oj, Halloj for this purpose.

“For MDU to have a good work environment we need to know what you experience and have been involved with. We need to have documentation in order to justify changes and I need to know what isn’t working to make sure that it starts working better. Therefore it is important that you use Aj, Oj, Halloj,” says Martin.

You may also contact the student safety representative to get help with pursuing questions about your work environment. They are employed by the Student Union to work with student matters. Make sure that you answer the University’s or the Student Union’s surveys and participate in the programme activity days. You may contact your teacher and School to influence matters.
