Education in classical music and opera
You will study in historical premises at Västerås Castle with teachers in music of highest international level. Under their expert guidance you will have the opportunity to reach your full potential as an instrumentalist or as a singer. All teachers aim is to enhance every students musical knowledge and instrumental/vocal techniques and skills as well as enhancing and developing their artistic expression towards an increasingly personal and independent approach.
Our programmes
The Chamber Music Programme
A three-year Bachelor Programme for orchestra instruments, voice and piano/organ. You will develop your skills both as a soloist and in chamber music with many opportunities to perform at different venues.
Principal study continuation course
Principal Study, continuation course, is a half-time course intended for you who have already qualified as a musician or a teacher at a high level.
Master's Programme in Chamber Music
The Degree of Master of Fine Arts in Western Classical Music and Opera – specialising in Chamber Music is a two-year full-time programme aimed at those who wish to become a master of wind or string instruments, singing or piano.

The Degree of Master of Fine Arts in Western Classical Music and Opera – specialising in Chamber Opera is a two-year full-time programme for those passionate about performing on stage and conveying opera through their singing.
