Log in to antagning.se

If you are already a student at MDU, you should use your student account to log in to antagning.se.

Go to “Log in (or Create an account)” on the first page of antagning.se.
In the scrollbar “Select university”, select “Mälardalen University”.
Click the button “Continue to Login”
Log in with your user name and password for your student account. You will then come straight back to antagning.se.

Late applications

For late applications, eligible applicants will be ranked according to the date the application was received. Late applicants are admitted subject to availability of places.

Reply to your admission decision

If you have been admitted or placed on a waiting list you must reply to the first admission decision to be able to save your place. The final date for replying is stated on your admission decision. On the admission decision there is also information about what you need to do as a new student, or how to go about appealing against a decision.

Entry requirements for applying for courses and programmes

To be able to be admitted to higher education courses and programmes you need to have certain prior knowledge, called general entry requirements. For some courses and programmes there are also specific entry requirements. The entry requirements that apply to each programme can be found on the programme pages.

If you need to postpone your studies

If you are unable to commence your studies at the time you have planned, you may apply for deferment of studies, in other words permission to postpone the start of your studies, if there are what is called special grounds.

Admission for latter part of a programme

If you have commenced a programme but for some reason wish to change your place of study, you may submit an application for the latter part of a programme. This you do via antagning.se.

Admission Regulations

In the Admission Regulations, the rules for admission that MDU abides by are described.

Tuition fee

Students who are citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU), European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, are required to pay a tuition fee for studies in Sweden.

Admission from waiting list

If the number of applicants for a course or programme is greater than the number of places, the persons not admitted will be placed on a waiting list. MDU will contact you if you can be offered a place, so please make sure that your contact details on universityadmissions.se are correct.

Admission statistics

Admission statistics can give you a picture of what grades or qualifications are needed for you to be admitted to a course or programme. Bear in mind that admission results look different from year to year. In other words you cannot tell whether you will get in or not by comparing previous admission results.
