Wastewater Treatment and Management
Freshwater used in society as potable water for domestic, commercial, agricultural and industrial processes turns into wastewater that must be treated before it can be discharged into the environment. Treatment processes vary based on the type and concentration of pollutants and, can be both large and small scale. Wastewater also contains valuable resources, which are of importance for the sustainability of the society. In this course, you will learn about pollutants in wastewater, how they can be treated and why wastewater should be considered a resource and not a nuisance.
