Mechanics I
The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the basic laws and methods of classical mechanics and to develop their skills in the application of these laws to specific mechanical problems. The course is also intended to give theoretical knowledge in formulating, applying and analysing mathematical models for physical situations. The course provides a basis for studies in other branches of physics and technical applications and gives an insight in the methods of scientific thinking.
