Marketing strategy in practice
In this course you compete in a business simulation against other students to create a living and dynamic world to test your knowledge and develop new knowledge. You will be challenged to think strategically from both a short- and long-term perspective to remain a competitive actor in the market for a long period of time. The business simulation is advanced and therefore demands close collaboration within your group that runs your company. Running the company includes developing new products and technologies, setting up production, seeking and retaining market share, and so on, basically all that is required to managing a company from an executive position. The business simulations runs for ten years and will therefore run in parallel throughout the course. We will also have seminars to complement the business simulation along with lectures to support your group work (running your company). Thus the course deal with issues that real decision makers face on a daily basis. Hence, the course aims (among other things) to develop your analytical ability to understand and predict market based conditions and to act accordingly.
