Control of Energy Systems
Energy systems are characterized by dynamic processes. Control techniques are used to manage and regulate dynamic processes. The aim of the course "Control of energy systems" is to provide an understand of dynamic processes, describe fundamental concepts in control systems, and introduce mathematical methods for the development and analysis of control systems for energy engineering applications. After completing the course, the student should be able to: analyze, identify and model dynamic systems, understand and apply Laplace theory and transfer functions for mathematical and graphical analysis of dynamic systems, develop different types of control systems for energy applications and use Simulink for simulation and verification of control systems. The course is offered to students with an interest in energy and a background in mathematics, physics or engineering.
