Robust Electronics for Dependable Systems
A prerequisite for designing dependable systems is that the underlying electronics is robust. This course covers different distinguishing environments and how these affect the electronics. Selection of suitable and unsuitable electronic components will be discussed as well as how robust electronics should be designed. During lectures and laboratory work, different techniques will be described and tested for achieving more robust and available functions using electronics and data buses. Verification of functions under abnormal circumstances using different robustness algorithms is also introduced in the course.
