Literature lists

Objectives
The purpose of the course is for the participant to assemble a teaching portfolio.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the participant shall:
1. demonstrate the ability to discuss and problematise students' learning in their own subject area, on the basis of research in educational sciences and/or subject didactics of relevance for teaching in higher education,
2. demonstrate the ability to reflect on their professional approach to academic teaching and their relationship with the students, and also towards the fundamental values of higher education, such as democracy, internationalisation, gender equality, equal opportunities and sustainability,
3. demonstrate the ability to collect, analyse and communicate their own and others' experiences of teaching and learning practices, and relevant outcomes of research, as a basis for the development of educational practice and the academic profession,
4. report a teaching portfolio, concerning teaching and learning within their own field of knowledge, drawing upon relevant research in educational sciences and/or in subject didactics.

- Teaching effectivness evaluation models
- Systematic documentation of teaching effectivness and presentation of teaching skills
- Discussion and analysis of teaching effectivness from theoretical and methodological perspectives

Specific requirements
A teaching position at Mälardalen University.
Examination
INL1, written assignment, 1.5 credits, assembling a teaching portfolio concerning learning outcomes 1-4, grade Fail (U) or Pass (G).
ÖVN1, exercise, 1 credits, active participation in workshops concerning learning outcomes 1-3, grade Fail (U) or Pass (G).
For Pass (G) on the course as a whole, the participant must have earned that grade for INL1 and ÖVN1.
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.

Course participant admitted to this course who has passed INL1 or OVN1 in PEA914 can transfer those credits to INL1 and ÖVN1 respectively in this course.
