The course discusses how teachers at the university can plan, implement, and evaluate teaching and examination, use and contribute to developing physical and digital learning environments, and use and share their own and others' experiences and relevant research.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The purpose of the course is to develop the participant's understanding of the mandates and responsibilities of higher education institutions. Being a teacher at the university is to be an official, working for the government. What are the consequences for the teacher's daily work?

The course discusses laws and regulations regarding such matters as examination, copyright, discrimination, inclusion and the relationship between research and teaching. In addition, the values of higher education are discussed, including democracy, internationalisation, gender equality, equal treatment and sustainability.

A student account is automatically connected to Ladok and has a login ID with three letters and five numbers, ex: abc23001, unlike a teacher account which has three letters and two numbers, ex: abc01

If you are going to attend a course and currently only have a teacher account, you must create a student account to be able to log in to the course site in Canvas. The easiest way to create a student account is to go to Studenttorget in Västerås or Eskilstuna. You need to bring identification and say that you are going to take a course. But you can also create a student account via mdu.se (https://portal.mdu.se/studentkonto/) However, it takes longer, as your password is sent in a letter to your home (5-7 working days).

If you already have a student account but have forgotten your password, you can get a new one at Studenttorget in Västerås or Eskilstuna. You need to have identification with you. But you can go via mdu.se to manage your student account. But it takes longer as your password is sent in a letter to your home (5-7 working days).
