Kursplan - Organization, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Syfte

The course aims at providing knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation and organizations from an entrepreneurial perspective. Emphasis is put on the interplay of entrepreneurship, organization and institutional conditions. The course aim is also to test different scientific perspectives on the empirical phenomena and to give an understanding of the perspectives effect on the knowledge produced.

Lärandemål

By the completion of the course the student shall have demonstrated:
- the ability to apply different perspectives on entrepreneurship, on actor-oriented-, organisational- as well as institutional levels.
- ability to perform an investigation, including gathering and interpretation of data and presentation of results that give contribution to knowledge of the relationships between entrepreneurship, innovation and organisation.
- ability to analyse and come to conclusions regarding empirical as well as theoretical issues.
- ability to apply knowledge and understanding in relation to professional vocations regarding organisation, management and change.

Innehåll

The role of entrepreneurship and innovation in different organizational contexts is considered as pivotal in relation to economic, social, environmental and organizational change. The content of this course focus on entrepreneurship, and the interrelationships between entrepreneurship, organisations and institutions on the basis of theory and research in this area. The course comprise of task assignments that develops knowledge and skills in undertaking research as well as a professional approach in relation to vocational issues.

Undervisning

The teaching consists of lectures, seminars, work shops, and work task assignments. The seminars and the work shops prescribe mandatory student attendance.

Särskild behörighet

Företagsekonomi 60 hp med successiv fördjupning, varav minst 45 hp ska vara avklarade vid kursstart. Av dessa skall minst 22,5 hp vara på nivå G1N och minst 22,5 vara på nivå G1F. Dessutom krävs En B.

Examination

PM (PM01), 3 hp, betyg Godkänd (G) eller Väl Godkänd (VG)
Projekt 8PRO1), 6 hp, betyg Godkänd (G) eller Väl Godkänd (VG)
Tentamen (TEN1), 6 hp, betyg Godkänd (G) eller Väl Godkänd (VG)

En student som har ett intyg från MDU avseende sin funktionsnedsättning har möjlighet att anmäla önskemål om anpassning vid salstentamina eller annan examinationsform i enlighet med Regler och anvisningar för examination på grundnivå och avancerad nivå vid Mälardalens högskola (2020/1655). Det är examinator som, utifrån det intyg som utfärdats, beslutar om eventuell anpassning och i så fall vilken anpassning som ska gälla.

Misstankar om vilseledande vid examination (fusk) anmäls, enligt högskoleförordningen, till universitetets rektor och prövas av universitetets disciplinnämnd. Om disciplinnämnden anser att en student gjort sig skyldig till en disciplinförseelse fattar nämnden beslut om en disciplinär åtgärd, vilket är varning eller avstängning.

Betyg

Väl godkänd, godkänd, underkänd
