The Programme

Enhance your capability to comprehend and operate in a globalised world. In today’s globalised world, hardly any companies are completely local or national. This one-year programme provides you with an understanding of international marketing management and international marketing strategies in different markets. It is designed to enhance your knowledge and skills to prepare you for working in an international environment through:

  • attending traditional lectures
  • reading scientific articles
  • discussing in seminars
  • conducting research and making analyses in various projects
  • practising a hands-on approach in business games.

Besides taking a final written exam, you will also be assessed during seminars, and several projects.

Your training as an international marketer and international business specialist starts in the classroom where you will have the opportunity to develop the skills needed for an international career by collaborating with multinational and multicultural groups. For this reason, you must attend and be active throughout the programme. In the programme, mandatory assignments and physical presence cannot be substituted with other tasks. All the assignments will be presented in writing and orally at various seminars. Here, you and your fellow students will peer-review and scrutinise each other’s work.

All the teaching is conducted in English.

Employment and Future Prospects

The curriculum is designed to develop capabilities and skills needed for marketing officers and marketing managers in small, medium-sized, and multinational enterprises working with both B2B and B2C. You will be well prepared for a career in the private sector as well as in public or non-profit organisations in diverse, multicultural environments.

The programme will provide you with the skills needed to collect and process information for marketing management decisions and the ability to analyse problems, conduct market analysis, and develop business in new and/or unfamiliar environments. Additionally, the programme will give you a good understanding of central concepts and theories in the field of international marketing and international business.

These skills and training are equally relevant for a career in a company and further studies in higher education such as doctoral studies.
