Rules for your comfort

In order for everyone to feel comfortable in the University Library, it is important that you follow the rules for your comfort.

  • Speak quietly so as not to disturb and please leave the room if you are going to make a phone call.
  • Use headphones when you have a digital meeting or want to listen to music.
  • You can eat simple snacks such as fruit, candy, and drinks. If you want to eat hot food, we refer you to the student kitchens available at the University.
  • Throw away your litter.
  • The University Library’s computers may be used by people above 18 years old. They are to be used for work in connection with your education or to search for information. External visitors may receive a temporary account at the Student Centre.
  • It is not permitted to collect money or name lists.
  • It is not permitted to put up posters.
  • People who cause disturbances in the University Library are liable to be suspended in accordance with Chapter 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
