Description of the project
TVISS will perform research on the use of trusted computing technologies and design highly secure new protocols and routines for preventing security attacks as well as for protecting information at run time, during storage and at communication in virtualized software systems; the goal is to provide high security without sacrificing performance. We will also look at how modern multi-core hardware can be used when implementing some of our new security protocols and routines. This is one way to improve security without introducing performance problems. Key security, real-time and performance properties of the design will be verified and the implications of these properties will be assessed in a shared test bed.
