Tested-SOS aims to be the next step toward digital representation, simulation, and optimization in the off-road industry through simulation models that can mirror the physical world from system to site level. This will increase the understanding of how off-road sites can be optimized from a multi-dimensional perspective. It will also lower knowledge gaps to introduce new technologies such as electromobility and autonomy.

Worksites are complex systems, made even more complex by adding zero-emission and automation technology. The utilization of charging infrastructure and the safety benefits of automation must be weighed against productivity levels and the total utilization of the sites. Together, the platform can support goals of zero-emission and zero accidents and speed up implementation, by enabling the integration of multiple systems and data sources, providing the foundation for safer working environments by facilitating and enhancing automated and semi-automated solutions.

Project objective

Tested-SOS aims to significantly improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase safety standards. This will ultimately drive productivity and sustainability at off-road sites, enabling new business models and integrated transport solutions powered by digital platforms. Through real-world validation ensure that the developed technologies and services deliver practical, scalable solutions for future mobility and operational challenges in the mining, quarry and construction sectors.

The focus is on implementing and testing a digital infrastructure that integrates various innovative services into a unified, scalable digital platform. This platform will bring together key services such as predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, automation, sustainability, and safety management for off-road industry operations. The aim is to overcome the current challenges of siloed data streams and fragmented systems, enabling real-time decision-making, productivity optimization, and safety.
