We want to understand how teenagers use digital healthcare and how they think about their right to privacy. To do this, we are carrying out two activities:
- A survey — We will distribute a questionnaire to approximately 270 teenagers aged 15 to 17 at various schools in Sweden. They will answer questions about digital healthcare, privacy, and participation.
- Interviews — We will interview both teenagers and guardians to gain a deeper understanding of their thoughts and experiences.
The interviews focus on what it feels like to use digital healthcare services, what works well, and what feels difficult or unclear.
Project objective
The goal of the project is to understand how digital healthcare affects teenagers’ ability to participate and maintain privacy. We want to find out how young people themselves experience healthcare services and in what situations privacy feels especially important. We also want to find out how guardians view their teenagers use of digital healthcare and what dilemmas might arise when both childrens and adults rights need to be considered.
