Social language environment – development and conditions for children and multilingual children´s literacy processes in Swedish preschools

This paper presentation refers to an ongoing research project with the character of a development (action research) project. The research project has been carried out in collaboration between researcher and twenty four preschool teachers in Sweden. The overall aim is to develop strategies and knowledge about multilingual and children’s conditions for learning and development as well as literacy skills in Swedish preschools. The aim is also to develop and pilot-test the analysis tool, Social Language Environment - Domain, SLE-D (Norling, 2015) in order to be used as a tool for preschool teachers to make didactic and constructive (qualitative as well as quantitative) analyzes regarding conditions for language and literacy learning in Swedish preschools.
