Description of the project
Three trends provide the context for the scientific work in READY.
- Media distribution applications are increasingly dominating the volume of network traffic. Some media applications require low latency, and some cause problems for other applications.
- A growing number of networked devices as part of the "Internet of Things", including distributed control and industrial applications with strict latency needs.
- Cloud-based services is a paradigm shift in how services are provisioned and how computers and networks are used, and require low latency for a good user experience.
