Adults with profound intellectual disabilities are in need of society’s support. Such support should facilitate the disability policy vision of “a good life”, which means full participation in society and equality in living conditions as well as conditions for independence and self-determination. The project provide increased knowledge of conditions and barriers for participation and can thereby provide an opportunity for adults with profound intellectual disabilities to increased participation in their own everyday life With increased knowledge about participation and the conditions required for it staff will also get a better understanding of how they can assist the individual to a good life.
