Parenthood in families with two mothers - Encounters and early parental support from health care professionals in antenatal and child health care

The overall aim of this project is to examine mothers in same-sex relationship's experiences and perceptions of their decision to form a family, pregnancy, parenting, and early parental support, and professionals in antenatal and child health care, knowledge and attitudes to families with two mothers.

The study will lead to increased knowledge and understanding of how midwives and specialist nurses encounter families with two mothers. Parents can contribute to greater understanding through their shared experiences of parenting. The goal of the research project is to raise awareness and increase knowledge and understanding of non-traditional family structures.
