Description of the project
The project aims at developing a green e-service development model (GeSD) for real estate companies that aims at becoming environmental attuned. The model will incorporate the logic of software development methods (SDM) and new service development (NSD) methods. GeSD allows real estate companies to: (a) manage green processes and projects, (b) incorporate the use of specific resources, skills and tools (c), involve users and other stakeholders, and (d) it includes a performance and feedback management system. The model is developed inductively by using real-time data, interviews, participating observations, focus groups/workshops and natural experiments. Furthermore, GeSD supports real estate companies to assess technological and functional gaps when developing green e-services.
The project is carried out by Peter Ekman and Cecilia Erixon at Mälardalen University as well as by Steve Thompson and Randy Raggio at University of Richmond (Virginia, USA).
