Description of the project
The project aims to increase understanding of how future large PV installations should be carried out in Sweden as cost-effectively as possible, thereby become a guide for increased PV production in Sweden, by during year 2014 perform an evaluating of the largest Swedish PV plant with 1 MW installed power.
It is the first PV plant in the Nordic countries and possibly in the world that at one site would allow comparison of six different systems with 2-axis tracking, 1-axis tracking or fixed mounting, with or without power optimizers at each module. Therefore, it is of great value for future PV installations in Sweden to do a study including a technical and economic evaluation of this PV park.
The project is conducted in cooperation between Mälardalen University (Project manager), Kraftpojkarna AB (installation and operation), Mälarenergi Elnät AB (grid operator), Mälarenergi AB (electricity supplier), and ABB AB, Corporate Research (visiting scientist Mälardalen University).
