Create companionship through music

The project is designed as a collaborative project between SFI in Eskilstuna and researchers at MDU, where SFI teachers receive professional support in further developing their teaching with the support of singing and music. For this competence-developing part of the project, a researcher and competence development trainer in music and language development has participated through four workshops. The project has also been followed and systematized through fours additional research circle meetings.

The project supports SFI teachers to develop teaching with the support of singing and music in a way that further strengthens newly arrived adults' language development and integration.

The overall aim of the project is to develop teaching with the support of singing and music within SFI in a way that further strengthens the language development and integration of newly arrived adults, and in the long run can counteract segregation and exclusion in society at large.
