Industrial Economics and Management
In Economics, research is conducted into energy and environment economics in which the researchers investigate the connection between economic growth, energy consumption and the environmental situation.
- The importance of the technological development of both energy efficiency and cleaning of the manufacturing process.
- Possible future scenarios for income, technological changes, energy consumption and the environmental situation.
- Recommendations for political measures to rectify any market failures that can be linked to research and development, energy consumption and emissions.
- Social interactions, political and public economics and also labour market economics.
Ongoing research projects
The problem that motivates our project is the possible conflict between the policy goals of promoting economic growth while limiting energy consumption and environmental impact. Our study centers on the strength of this conflict and the extent to which technological progress may mitigate it.
