Open data
Open research data refers to making data from the research process accessible.
The FAIR principles form the foundation of sound research data management and stipulate that data should be findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
The Government has stated that the national transition to open access to research data is to be completed by 2026. The aim is to enhance research quality, improve reproducibility, and ensure more efficient use of resources.
