Jonna combines her studies with handball
Jonna is studying her third year at the Civil Engineering programme in industrial economy. She combines her studies with playing handball in VästeråsIrsta HF.
I have always been interested in technology and problem-solving, but I never had a specific dream job. I chose Industrial Economy because of the variety within the program and because it opens doors for the future. MDU was a university that suited me and my sports career well when I applied for the education, almost three years later and I am still very satisfied with my choice!
What I appreciate most with handball is the sense of community. My goal is to become the best I can be, and I hope to be able to continue to enjoy the happiness and community on the way there.
Do you want to combine elite sports and your studies?
During your time at MDU, you, as an elite athlete, have the opportunity to receive support and adjustments to enable you to study and continue with your sport at the same time. This enables you to pursue dual careers and have an university education to fall back on after your career in sports.
