Important dates for exchange students

6 April 2026

Online application opens for the autumn semester 2026.

May 2026

Last day for coordinators at partner universities to nominate students for an exchange period for the autumn semester 2026:

10 May for all students from one of our partner Universities.

Last day for students to submit a complete application:

15 May for all students from one of our partner Universities.

June 2026

Notification of admission is sent out by email to those with a complete application:

12 June for applicants from outside the EU/EEA area
18-19 June for applicants within the Erasmus exchange program

June/July 2026

Once admitted to MDU, please register through the website of Bostad Västerås. External link.You will find the vacant student accommodations and can view details and see pics. When you find an option you like you can choose to apply for it by clicking "Register interest".
Provided that you have submitted your admission letter to Bostad Västerås you will get an offer on the apartment/room you chose. Accepting the offer is highly recommended. There will be an opportunity to change your accommodation after the first semester or get a refund if you for some reason can't come to start your studies.
Accept and secure your offer through payment.
Please read the refund policy in case you can't attend MDU, for whatever reason.
