Learn how to improve industrial processes with modelling methods!

About the course

Modeling is used to create a virtual representation of a real product. With the help of the model, you can study how the product works, test different options and evaluate the product before it is produced in reality.

In this course, you gain knowledge on how to design and implement simulation models in the work of analyzing and improving production systems. You will learn how to plan and perform improvement studies, as well as apply the modeling process within the manufacturing industry. With the help of our experienced teaching staff and hands-on approach, you get access to the tools you need to effectively improve industrial processes. Prepare yourself for an exciting learning adventure where you will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of industrial processes.

You will learn to

  • Use your theoretical knowledge and reflect on the use of modeling to improve a real industrial production process
  • Design a simulation model for a production system using a systems perspective and plan data collection and analysis
  • Plan different scenarios for analysis and improvement of a production process

The course is given with flexible start and study pace, but we recommend a study pace of 20%, which means that the course takes about 8 calendar weeks.

Below you find the entry requirements for the course. If you do not fulfill the requirements, you can get your eligibility evaluated based on knowledge acquired in other ways, such as work experience, other studies etcetera. Read more in Application information below.
