This course provides an introduction to the field of Corpus Linguistics, including its historical development and current concerns. We'll acquaint ourselves with the core issues (What is a corpus? How can it be used? How does corpus linguistics differ from other forms of doing linguistics?) and try our hands at corpus-based studies of lexical and grammatical features of English.

    In addition, Swedish course 3/Swedish course B and English course 6/English course A are required. For courses given entirely in English, exemption is made from the requirement regarding Swedish course 3/Swedish course B.
