In today's hyperconnected world, the demand for cybersecurity experts is soaring to unprecedented heights. As we navigate the complexities of an increasingly digital society, it's clear that cyber threats are growing more sophisticated every day. The Fundamental Cybersecurity course gives an advanced introduction to key concepts and approaches that needs to be mastered in order to understand and counter threats in the evolving cybersecurity landscape. You will gain the essential skills to defend against cyber threats and will acquire a base knowledge that will be a prerequise for further studies.

    Specific requirements

    60 credits in completed courses in computer science, that include completed courses in programming corresponding to 15 credits and computer networks 7.5 credits, and 10 credits in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics including 7.5 credits of Discrete Mathematics. In addition, Swedish course B/Swedish course 3 and English course A/English course 6 are required. For courses given entirely in English exemption is made from the requirement in Swedish course B/Swedish course 3.
