Smart Building and Smart Cities
How can buildings become smarter, more energy-efficient, and better connected to future cities?
This course explores the technologies and systems behind smart buildings – from automated control and sensor networks to data-driven analytics and digital tools. You will learn to apply the EU’s Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) to evaluate how “smart” a building is, and understand how digitalisation and sustainability work together in creating energy-efficient and resilient buildings. The course combines theory with practical applications and is ideal for students and professionals interested in the design and operation of the smart and sustainable buildings of the future.
