Once you have completed this course you will be able to use optimization techniques to improve the efficiency and productivity of your production system!

About the course

Production optimization is used to make production more efficient. By using optimization, one can reduce the number of errors, increase the production speed and reduce the costs of production.

In this course you will gain knowledge about, and learn to use, standardized optimization methods to get the best out of your production system.

The course includes an introduction to optimization methods, model development and evaluation using industrial software, multi-objective optimization of production systems and analysis, as well as result processing.

You will learn

  • The underlying principles of optimization theory and how to use them to solve real-world production optimization problems
  • How to communicate and critically assess the results of optimizations in relation to the performance of the production system

The course is given with flexible start and study pace, but we recommend a study pace of 20%, which means that the course takes about 8 calendar weeks.
