In this course you will learn how to design production systems using XR. By visualizing production processes using various XR technologies, you will gain an understanding of when each technology is best suited and how it can be implemented.
About the course
Extended reality (XR) is a collective term for various "virtual and augmented reality" technologies (VR/AR). XR is used to create a visualization of a virtual reality in which, for example, production can be displayed. This provides an increased understanding of how production works and how production systems can be developed. In this environment, products, processes and working methods can be tested before they are implemented in reality. In this way, you can avoid unnecessary errors and speed up development.
You will learn to
- Describe the use of extended reality (XR) in Industry 4.0 environments
- Understand how to create production systems through the use of extended reality
- How to design and implement production processes that include industrial visualization with extended reality
The course is given with flexible start and study pace, but we recommend a study pace of 20%, which means that the course takes about 8 calendar weeks.
