Objectives
The course introduces the student to the development of mobile applications for different applications and platforms. The course aims to provide basic theoretical and practical knowledge of mobile applications and developing them in a robust, efficient and standardised manner. The course is preparatory to professional work with mobile development.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student shall be able to:
- Construct and develop mobile applications.
- Show how human-computer interaction and social and ethical aspects are considered in the solution or application.
- Explain and motivate design choices which are related to the solution or application.
Course content
The course introduces the student to theories and methods that are important in development of mobile applications.The course will also cover important parts of the field of human- computer interaction that are relevant for mobile units. Social and ethical aspects (incl. privacy issues) are also integrated into the course.
Specific requirements
Object-Oriented Programming 7,5 credits and Data structures, algorithms and program development 7,5 credits or corresponding.
Examination
Written assignment (INL1), 1,5 credits, examines the learning outcomes 2 and 3, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G).
Laboratory work (LAB1), 2 credits, examines the learning outcomes 1 and 3, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G).
Project (PRO1), 4 credits, examines the learning outcome 1), marks Fail (U), 3, 4 or 5.
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding disability study support, can request adaptions for the examination. It is the examiner who takes decisions on any adaptions, based on the certificate and other conditions.
