Objectives
The objective of this course is to develop understanding and competence in the virtual commissioning process in Process and Manufacturing Industry.
Learning outcomes
- Describe the virtual commissioning process
- Describe the use of digital twins for the virtual commissioning process
- Analyse the digital twin case studies
Course content
- Introduction of the virtual commissioning process
- Introduction to digital twin basics
- Digital twin case studies with respect to the virtual commissioning process
Specific requirements
75 credits in production technology, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, product and process development, computer technology and/or computer science or equivalent or 40 credits in technology and at least 2 years of full-time professional experience from a relevant area within industry. In addition Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3 and English course 6 or English level 2 are required. For courses given entirely in English exemption is made from the requirement in Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3.
Examination
PRO1, Project Report, 1,5 credit, grade: Pass (G) or Fail (U).
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding disability study support, can request adaptions for the examination. It is the examiner who takes decisions on any adaptions, based on the certificate and other conditions.
