Objectives
This course will provide in-depth knowledge of 3D CAD to design products and as a tool for mechanical design.
Learning outcomes
After completed the course, the student shall:
- master advanced features for model building,
- handle CAD tool for welded structures,
- be able to create surface models and
- be able to present / visualize products with the help of CAD models.
Course content
- Creation of CAD models using 3D software.
- Using advanced commands.
- Create advanced forms of products.
- Create products which includes sheetmetal- and beam components.
- Advanced assemblies.
- Using surface modeling.
Specific requirements
Introductory course in CAD 7,5 hp.
Examination
Written assignment (INL1), individual assignment, 2 credits, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G)
Examination (TEN1), Written examination at computer, 5,5 credits, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G)
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding disability study support, can request adaptions for the examination. It is the examiner who takes decisions on any adaptions, based on the certificate and other conditions.
