Objectives
The purpose of the course is to extend and deepen students knowledge, skills and understanding within the area of electronics. The course work will be performed on advanced level, with a significant theoretical and practical depth.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- analyze complex problems within electronics,
- specify requirements for complex systems,
- describe which advanced methods and skills that are necessary to solve the problem,
- apply advanced methods, processes and standards within the chosen project area,
- find related problems and solutions and propose own solutions and also
- present the solution both in a technical report document and orally at a seminar.
Course content
The course will cover different areas within electronics and the course content can vary between course instances. The project course is organized together with the teacher and the students, giving a possibility for students to deepen their knowledge in a specific area which is relevant for their education.
Specific requirements
150 credits completed courses whereof at least 30 credits completed courses within electronics. In addition Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3 and English course 6 or English level 2 are required. For courses given entirely in English exemption is made from the requirement in Swedish course 3 or Swedish level 3.
Examination
Seminar (SEM1), 15 credits, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G).
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding disability study support, can request adaptions for the examination. It is the examiner who takes decisions on any adaptions, based on the certificate and other conditions.
