Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide an in-depth educational perspective with a focus on curiosity-driven citizenship that brings in an understanding of the engineer's role and responsibility in society. Furthermore, the course aims to be norm-breaking and questioning in order to create new perspectives on complex issues and challenge the student's image of the professional role as an engineer. The course is linked to the university's strategic map and will contribute to create curious, future-equipped and courageous students.
The students' knowledge perspectives are extended with interdisciplinary approaches through fiction, art, and culture, but also scientific texts, multidisciplinary research perspectives, popular science film clips and interviews, and critical reflection seminars. The student is given the opportunity to weave together theory and practice through reflection on the projects that the students have carried out in parallel and what they have learned from these.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- demonstrate ability to validate the complexity of problems in industrial development linked to production development, green transition and smart factories
- demonstrate the ability to reflect and analyse one's own
