Objectives
In this course, you acquire competence to work in and managing projects based on agile principles. This competence has become increasingly important in the ongoing digital transformation, where new organizations often are grounded in an agile framework.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student shall be able to:
1. Explain and discuss the meaning of societal transformations from an innovation perspective with a special focus on digital and agile transformation.
2. Demonstrate basic understanding of leading and working in innovation projects.
3. Demonstrate basic knowledge to initiate, lead and work agile in projects.
4. Demonstrate basic knowledge for working with projects in digital environments.
Course content
The course consists of both theoretical and practical elements.
Theoretical understanding of the area will be given through lectures, discussions and reflection as well as own studies, such as literature studies.
Practical experience will be provided through training in different aspects of project management such as leadership, communication, the use of digital tools and structured planning.

A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
