Objectives
The purpose of the course is to develop the participant's understanding of the values, possibilities and challenges of using digital tools to support teaching and learning.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the participant shall demonstrate the ability to:
1. explain, discuss and reflect on different aspects of e-learning such as digital literacy and collaborative, open and online learning,
2. critically reflect on questions concerning open networked learning related to own teaching practice.

- Design for blended learning online
Specific requirements
Didactic digitial competence, 2.5 credits.
Examination
GRU1, group assignment, 1.5 credits, problem based learning concerning learning outcomes 1 and 2, grade Fail (U) or Pass (G).
INL1, written assignment, 1.0 credits, reflective blog posts concerning learning outcomes 1 and 2, grade Fail (U) or Pass (G).
PRA1, practice, 0.5 credits, giving peer feedback concerning learning outcomes 1 and 2, grades Fail (U) or Pass (G).
For Pass (G) on the course as a whole, the student must have earned that grade for GRU1, INL1 and PRA1.
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
Grade
Two-grade scale
