The objective of the course is for students to obtain extended and further in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical skills in supporting behaviour change and self-management for patients with reduced activity and participation as a result of limited movement function.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, students shall be able to:
1. critically analyse the interaction between behaviours and biomedical factors in all phases of the development of disease or illness in relation to patient groups of interest
2. collect, compile and analyse data concerning situational factors, individual factors, behaviours and consequences of behaviours in relation to individually prioritized activities
3. plan, carry out and evaluate adapted treatment interventions based on a behavioural analysis to improve and sustain activity and participation
4. critically review, carry out and evaluate different types of interventions to support behavioural change and continued self-management
5. provide arguments and reflections on own clinical reasoning in data collection, behavioural analyses and interventions
6. critically analyse scientific studies of behavioural medicine interventions for relevant groups of patients
