Objectives
After completing the course, the student must have:In-depth knowledge in various forms of entrepreneurship and current applications in the field. Skills in a number of methods and tools about entrepreneurship. The ability to develop and apply strategies to handle different types of environmental factors. The student should also critically reflect on his own entrepreneurial skills as well as leadership aspects related to innovative projects and also demonstrate applied knowledge through the development of a business development concept.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student shall be able to:
1. apply creative processes to identify potential for value creation in goods and services
2. critically reflect on concepts and theory related to entrepreneurship
3. critically reflect on leadership aspects and prerequisites for innovation in projects
4. explain and evaluate the meaning of business ethics and sustainability in an innovation and business development process
5. analyze how environmental factors affect their own innovation and business activities, and how this information can be used for the development of the organization / company
6. apply entrepreneurial skills and skills to drive an innovation and business development process
7. develop and test an innovative business concept as well
8. present idea / concept / product / service in order to inform, sell and convince

Tuition
The teaching consists of lectures, tutorials, seminars (including simulation exercises), as well as own work. The course requires a high degree of co-creation as well as Per Review specifically linked to INL1.
Specific requirements
At least 60 credits, of which the following courses must be completed: Introduction to innovation science 7,5 credits, Entrepreneurship 1 7,5 credits, Project management 7,5 credits and also Additive manufacturing 7,5 credits or corresponding.
Examination
Written assignment (INL1), 8 credits, examines the learning objectives 1 and 4-8, marks Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG)
Written assignment (INL2), 2,5 credits, examines the learning objective 2, marks Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG)
Written assignment (INL3), 2,5 credits, examines the learning objective 3, marks Fail (U), Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG)
Seminar (SEM1), 2 credits, examines learning objectives 4-6, marks Fail (U) or Pass (G)
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
