Examination
1-7,5 Hp are examined as follows
TEN1 2 högskolepoäng. Grades Pass (G) or Pass with Distinction (VG).Examination of subject matter, individual written and/or oral.
SEM1 3 högskolepoäng. Grades Pass (G) or Pass with Destinction (VG). Subject education research seminar, written and/or oral, individual and/or group.
INL1 2,5 högskolepoäng, Grade Pass (G). Subject education research, hand ins, exercises, laboratory manuals. Written and/or oral, individual and/or group.
7,6-15 högskolepoäng are examined as folloes
SEM2 3 högskolepoäng, Grade Pass (G) or Pass with Destinction (VG). Science and technology subject seminar, written and/or oral, individual and/or group.
SEM3 3 högskolepoäng. Grades Pass (G) or Pass with Destinction (VG). Subject education research seminar, written and/or oral, individual and/or group.
INL2 2,5 högskolepoäng, Grade Pass (G). Subject education research, hand ins, exercises, laboratory manuals. Written and/or oral, individual and/or group.
To receive the grade Pass (G) on the entire course all examinations need to be Passed. For the Grade Pass with Destinction on the entire course the Grade Pass with Destinction is needed on at least 8 högskolepoäng of 15.
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
