Objectives
The objective of the course is to supply with the student should have basic knowledge about innovation and creativity on the basis of a team perspective.
Learning outcomes
After the course the student should be able to:
- describe basic theoretical perspectives within the field of innovation related to how innovation and creativity can be promoted whitin team processes
- reflect and problemize their the processes of their own team and external teams
- participate actively in her/his own and other students learning processes
- be able to perform in a team and relate to common rules and values in the team
- look for and critical reflect (verbally and in writing) on knowledge, literature and scientific papers within the subject
- write an academic text on basic level both In group and individually
Course content
Innovation and creativity contains several different theoretical perspectives and scientific traditions. The course contains basic reviews of theories within these fields relating to how innovation and creativity could be promoted when individuals work in teams.
Tuition
Lectures, Team exercises, Seminars and Supervision.
The course will be implemented by lectures, seminars, individual and team works and a project. The students are assumed to continuosly be a part of the education and contribute to the implementation.

Examination
Exercise. Individual written examination, 7.5 credits, marks Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG)
Project. Written presentation in group, 6 credits, marks Pass (G) or Pass with distinction (VG)
Seminar, 1.5 credits, marks Pass (G)
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
