Objectives
The student shall alone or in groups be able to apply acquired knowledge in innovation technology and independently search for new knowledge in order to solve an advanced task such as, management and monitoring of projects and / or advanced problem solving.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student will in a scientific manner be able to:
- take an active part in a commercial or research initiated project
- take responsibility for managing the whole or parts of projects for example in project leadership role or design assignment
- draw conclusions and make recommendations for further work on the basis of the results obtained
- in writing document and argue for process and results
- orally present and discuss the results
Course content
Problem formulation will bw taken from ongoing projects within the Center for product realization.
Tuition
Supervision of appointed supervisor at the university and / or participants from external clients, lectures, own source studies and seminars. Students see to have regular contact with tutors.
Specific requirements
Students admitted to programs in innovation technology with at least 90 credits completed courses, including at least 15 credits at level innovation technology G1F. Completed course KIN360 Project Innovation.
Examination
Exercise (INL1), 1.5 credits, marks Pass (G)
Project (PRO1), 6 credits, marks Pass (G)
A student who has a certificate from MDU regarding a disability has the opportunity to submit a request for supportive measures during written examinations or other forms of examination, in accordance with the Rules and Regulations for Examinations at First-cycle and Second-cycle Level at Mälardalen University (2020/1655). It is the examiner who takes decisions on any supportive measures, based on what kind of certificate is issued, and in that case which measures are to be applied.
Suspicions of attempting to deceive in examinations (cheating) are reported to the Vice-Chancellor, in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, and are examined by the University’s Disciplinary Board. If the Disciplinary Board considers the student to be guilty of a disciplinary offence, the Board will take a decision on disciplinary action, which will be a warning or suspension.
