SIMS 2026
The 67th International Conference of Scandinavian Simulation Society.
Mälardalen University in collaboration with Mälardalen Industrial Technology Center (MITC), Linköping University, and Blekinge Institute of Technology invite you to submit a paper to SIMS 2026.
SIMS 2026 covers broad aspects of recent research and development work in modeling, simulation and optimization in engineering applications. The scientific program will include technical sessions with submitted papers, industrial sessions with discussion contributions, keynote presentations, and a poster session. Ph.D. students are particularly encouraged to contribute with papers according to the conference themes.
SIMS 2026 is co-sponsored by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). The conference proceedings will be published in open-access form on IFAC-PapersOnLine and indexed by Scopus, the Web of Science (WoS), and Google Scholar.
Main co-sponsoring IFAC Technical Committee:
3.2 Computational Intelligence in Control
Co-sponsoring IFAC Technical Committees:
5.1 Manufacturing Plant Control
6.1 Chemical Process Control
6.2 Mining, Mineral and Metal Processing
6.3 Power and Energy Systems
6.4 Fault Detection, Supervision & Safety of Technical Processes
7.1 Automotive Control
7.2 Marine Systems
9.4 Control Education
Important dates
- February 15 - Abstract submission (250 words)
- February 27 - Abstract notification of acceptance
- April 30 - Full paper submission (6 pages)
- June 26 - Full paper notification of acceptance and review comments
- August 21 - Camera-ready manuscript
- September 16-17 - SIMS conference
Please note the possibility of submitting a 2-page discussion paper instead of a full paper, particularly for topics of significant industrial relevance. You will still need to submit a 250-word abstract by February followed by the discussion paper by May 21st. Discussion papers will be presented at the conference but will not be part of the proceedings. Presenters of discussion papers must register with full or 1-day registration. Registration opens in early 2026.
To ensure broad participation and maintain a balanced technical program, each individual may serve as the corresponding author for no more than two (2) submitted papers. Authors may contribute to additional papers as co‑authors, provided they will not be designated as the presenting author for those submissions
